[googlefont=Meddon] Megan Check [break][break] [break] M egan felt a it awkward just standing in this mans kitchen alone. There was no memory really from most her night and she just hoped she didn't do anything regrettable. Sure he invited her to stay but how was she supposed to do that when it was just completely awkward. Her experience with men had only been from a previous relationship that she ended after a year. The guy couldn't keep his hands to himself and kept trying to push her into something she was not ready for. Worse part was she had to see the asshole who shared the same dorm building with her at school. All she wanted to do was go home and sleep off the sick feeling in her stomach, Curled up her her expensive silky sheets. Listening to him talk about what had happened made her just go quiet. Did she really get drunk and make a fool of herself last night? There was a bit of blush to her cheeks as she let her gaze drift to the ground. Suddenly he was talking about taking her home after he ran errands. Grabbing her bag she quickly followed him to the car and slid into the passengers seat. She was quiet for the most part because she was embarrassed by her behavior the night prior. The silence was broken by him flipping through radio stations and him rudely snapping at her. " You catch more flies with sugar than vinegar." Megan quoted her mom as her blue eyes darted over to him. There was a bit of a sass to her tone as she listened to his story of saving her basically. "Thank you for helping me last night. My friends made me go out with them last night because they always leave the capitol for fun. Guess i'm lucky to have such a gentleman step in to rescue me." Her words were in a soft tone that would actually force him to listen carefully over the music. When the car came to a stop her eyes looked to see fire and smoke rising from what used to be a house. Benny ordered her to stay in the car but she defiantly go out anyway. The smell of burning flesh made her wanna gag and when she found the arm at her feet, Megan made a quick run for the car. Benny followed her and soon they were on the road again. "What happened back there? We should call the police!" That was how she would handle this at home, but she wasn't really in Kansas anymore and todo seemed freaked out by what had happened. "Did you know those people?" Megan asked as she watched him check his phone and then go back to driving. Everything going on had her completely nervous and now she was afraid to go home. Was he in the middle of some criminal fight or something? Was someone gonna come kill her later for everything she had seen? Maybe this guy was going to take her to some back alley and kill her. Megan's mind was going crazy with bad plots from movies she had seen in the past. Maybe she should've taken that uber and took her chances. Crystal blue eyes watched the expressions on Benny's face as he drove and beneath the tough guy exterior she could see a bit of sadness. "I'm sorry for whatever friends you lost." Megan spoke up as she finally looked away and stared out the window. More silence filled the air between them as the grave nature of what had happened hung over the two. Despite the danger that she had now been thrust into. Megan felt more of a rush of life than she was used to feeling. Her daily routine before had been so mundane and now she was riding on adrenaline pumping. It was slightly exciting but she kept that to herself as the car carried them to whatever was next on the agenda. [break] [break] [break] ✿

[googlefont=Meddon] Megan Check [break][break] [break] S tanding in some strangers kitchen waiting on take out was just a weird concept. Right now there were no memories of what had happened the night prior and she was hoping this guy filled in the pieces. Mostly she wanted to be sure she did loose something in some drunken blur of forgotten mistakes. Her skirt was ripped but she didn't feel like anything had actually happened and it would be a relief to know for sure. Finally there was movement and the loud thunk of a recliner closing. Shuffling feet and some half sleepy hello didn't make this less awkward. "I slept fine. Feel like i fell out a tree and hit every branch on the way down." Her soft voice spoke out as she watched him pull out the same crusty box of Chinese food from the fridge. The one that had turned her stomach and now he was just shoveling it down. The kitchen was already disgusting and she was feeling like some rats may come out and eat all of them. Watching his feed the dog and give it beer she frowned. "Beer is bad for dogs." The tone of her voice was more matter of factually than she wanted it to come out. "Oh I couldn't impose." Megan spoke as her polite way of declining his invite to stay. All she wanted was to find her way back to the capitol in the morning light and back to everything that made her feel safe. It was the only world she knew and as boring and mundane as it could be. That was just the way it had to be until she married some uninteresting rich guy her parents liked more than she did. Wasn't that how everyone lived their lives though? "We didn't do anything last night....right?" There was a natural blush to her cheeks as she let her gaze fall to the floor. "I'm living in the capitol. My family has a house in sector 2 though." Her soft tone spoke as she glanced at the counter to see a phone light up and vibrate. It wasn't hers but instead the phone that lulu had given buster. "Its a pleasure to meet you Benny. You know i had a goat named Benny when i was a kid. Mean as the devil but he was such a cute little mini goat." Laughing a bit as her blue eyed gaze fell back on the man with the slicked back hair. Perhaps being stuck in some strangers apartment should've put her on edge but then again she wasn't used to having to watch her back around people. "My name is Megan." She spoke as she heard a knock on the door and moved over to it. Pulling it open and and there was a less then impressed delivery boy. Obviously delivery someone food at almost am wasn't the best life choice. He quoted a price and her arm extended to take his and transfer payment. The green numbers lit up in the dimly lit apartment and she didn't think to hide the time from Benny or anyone. [break] [break] [break] ✿

[googlefont=Meddon] Megan Check [break][break] [break] E verything was black and fuzzy in her mind as she slept for countless hours in a drugged state. Figures that the first time she gave in to her friends and left the capitol. something bad would happen to prove her right about how dangerous it was. Still you couldn't preach to her friends and make them believe anything. They called it living on the wild side and she decided they had just lost their minds. When buster tried talking to her and waking her, It barely worked. Sure her eyes fluttered open and she tried to explain where she lived but just muttered words came out. All this time later she finally did come to again and everything was still super fuzzy. No memories of anything that had happened and unfamiliar surroundings put her minds into a huge panic. Sitting up and feeling the world still spinning for her didn't really help matters much. Her clothes were still on luckily but there was a rip in the skirt of the little black dress. Megan was straining her blacked out brain to try and figure out what happened to her the night before. However her attention turned when something wet dripped onto her hand. When her blue eyes finally cleared for her to see well, It was a large fluffy dog. It seemed friendly and happy to see her as she scratched its ears. "Well Arentchu the cutest doggy I've ever seen." A smile appeared on her face as she glanced around the room. The paint and wallpaper, They peeled and cracked like they were trying to escape such a horrid life. Quickly she felt her sides and check to make sure she still had all her parts. "I guess no one stole my organs, so that's a plus." she spoke to the dog who just tilted his head to the side. Sliding out of the bed she found her shoes sitting there beside the bed. Leaving them there and moving towards the soft glow and sounds of a TV playing. There was a man passed out watching tv, Some sports show just made background noise as she got a closer look. He looked kinda familiar but everything was a pretty big blur. Her fingers touched his shoulder as her face lingered inches from his. "Hey mister, Wake up." Her voice spoke softly but it seemed to have no affect. Her eyes darted around the dark apartment and found her purse on a table. Grabbing it and pulling out her phone to see all the missed calls and texts from both her parents and friends. They were all worried because she didn't come home and her parents probably had half the capitol out looking for her. A sigh escaped her lips as she glanced back over at the man. Wandering into the little kitchen and opening the fridge only showed her some beer and old take out food. Obviously this guy wasn't home much or maybe he was trying to grow his own penicillin. Using her phone she ordered some actual food from some near by pizza shop and had a seat on the couch. Megan wanted to make sure that they didn't actually like sleep together or anything. For most of her life she had some fantasy about waiting until she was married before that. Then again she had literally zero experience with men and was to afraid to try dating again after her ex. The gentleman her parents liked but the obnoxious handsy douche behind closed doors. The more she thought about who mad her parents were going to be. It made her want another drink as she patiently waited for something to happen. [break] [break] [break] ✿

[googlefont=Meddon] Megan Check [break][break] [break] T alk about really regretting your decision to listen your idiot friends and leave sector one. This place was definitely not the capitol because the crime rate there was at a steady zero. Mostly because criminals tended to be publicly executed for most offenses so they stayed away. Now she was just trying to get out of this situation but the more she fought. The more the drugged alcohol pumped through veins of the small framed blonde. One final attempt to push him away worked well enough for her to slip away from the wall. Though she didn't get far before stumbling and hitting the ground like a bag of potatoes. The man was following with hands undoing a belt on his pants but he didn't get far. Some guy stepped outta no where and took down her assailant in a rather vicious way. If her mind hadn't been so foggy them she might have been afraid of this little man. The guy screamed apologies but she was to out of it as her hay blue eyes glanced at buster before she collapsed. Everything was black in her mind and the only thing bright in the dark street was the time on her arm. Over two hundred and fifty years silently ticking the less impressive minutes away. An engine could be heard pulling onto the scene and a flashy black '67 Chevy impala pulled up. When the door opened and the engine shut off, Lulu stepped out of the car along with Jackson who was the left chair at the top of her table. Lulu moved over to Megan who was passed out on the ground and gave a nod to Jackson who picked her up. "Hey slim. Bring your new friend in the back door, I need to have a chat with both of you." Lulu spoke in a soft but yet demanding tone as she gave a playful smirk to buster. Mouse who was already at the club came out the back door where they carried Megan into. He stayed and made sure the string bean of a guy and the rapey asshole didn't just vanish into the night. Then again just about everyone knew Lulu and of her reputation for violence so normally they fell in line like good soldier ants. Inside the club Jax placed Megan on a couch in Lulu's office and laid a blanket over her. Lulu grabbed some water and other meds to help the girl when she finally did wake up. [googlefont=Meddon] Megan Check [break][break] [break] L ife as a bookworm really did take a toll on your social life but Megan never seemed to mind. Even with her nose in a book that made her miss most social events, She was at the top of the social hierarchy in college and it was mostly because she was just a nice person. To every single soul she met in the place whether it be the head cheerleader or the stoner burnout behind the bleachers. Which did explain why her group of close friends were all opposite ends of the social standing. Even with that being said the group always put aside that just to go out and have fun on the town. Tonight Megan had just picked up a book she had read many reviews about. Knowing it was a weekend and her friends and roommates would all be gone to some party. That meant the house was going to be hers alone or so she thought. Instead her friends kidnapped her and after much nagging and complaining from them, Megan caved to their wills. She found herself dressed in a tighter fitting little black dress and dolled up into what her friend called hot. Staring in the mirror and feeling so much like a fish out of water while the rest of them got ready. Heading towards the door as she was basically shoved into a car and soon they were leaving the campus grounds. Little did she know this party was heading out of the capitol and to a not so nice sector. When they arrived at their destination, Megan was ushered in by her friends and as they took of to dance she found herself at the bar. Honestly she never had a drink in her life and she was just sitting there awkwardly. Some handsome stranger walked up and offered to get her a drink and she accepted quickly. Megan always saw the best in people and never thought anyone would have bad intentions. When the man returned with her drink she sipped it as they talked and within a short amount of time she found herself extremely light headed. everything in the building started to spin so she excused herself believing she just needed air. Outside the club she leaned against the wall of the building on a empty side street. Her friend from inside made his presence known and started getting a little to friendly and forceful. "Please, Stop..." It was weak protesting coming from her and it did little to persuade the man from letting his hands wander. [break] [break] [break] ✿

History Megans Family wasnt always drowning in the money like they currently are. The check family started as a poor farming family in sector two. Though they have no shame in a simpler lifestyle and the good moral fiber that came with it. Megans father while working the feilds one day came across oil which was thought to be a almost dried up resource.
From there everything changed and the check family became the leading and only oil company. When there is a huge supply and demand issue and you can charge as much time as you want. Tends to set your family up nicely and soon after their move to the capitol Megan was born. Even with the fancy new home and all the toys and trinkets. Her parents raised her the same way they had been.
Megan was the picture of innocence growing up for her life in the capitol. An honor student and graduating the top in her class. Her whole life was put on a fast track to be able to join her dad in their family business.
